Membership 2010-2011

With the changing world and times, the number of Thai students in the UK has increased from fifty-or-so a hundred and nine years ago to several thousands today, spreading out across the whole of the United Kingdom.

Many might know Samaggi Samagom from our annual Samaggi Games and Samaggi Conference and various other events we have organised throughout the years. However, we are not just ‘event organisers’ whose responsibility and concern ends when the curtain closes. Our aim is to create opportunities for discussions and exchange of ideas which will ultimately lead to long lasting friendships and sense of community between the students.

We aim to act as a ‘hub’ of information – an organisation which coordinates and tries to bring ALL Thai Students together, regardless of where they are based.

We can also act as a channel through which students can voice their concerns and suggestions through to External and Governmental organisations – to express our views and comments and BE HEARD.

Together, we’re stronger!

Benefits of membership

Friendship cannot be translated into monetary value. We are introducing a Regional System this year to try and encourage a sense of community, starting from a local level. All regions will have access to the Regional and Borrowing Funds, which can be used to organise events for Thai Students in those areas. Both the organisation before the event and the participation in the event itself will create opportunities for interaction between students from different universities thus creating a local network of people which can last long after your graduation.

On the monetary side of things – members will be able to attend all of our events at a discount price! And, as an aside, you must be a member to participate in Samaggi Games.
